A woman was charged with a DUI after parking her car in the student loading zone of a Knox County, Tennessee\u00a0elementary school and passing out in the back seat on Friday.<\/p>\n

The sheriff’s department was called at 7am when parents noticed the grey Lexus RX350 situated partially on the curb and had to maneuver around it to drop off their kids at A.L. Lotts Elementary School. The car was originally reported abandoned because other drivers did not see the woman in the back seat, but when deputies arrived they found 27-year-old Jessica Morris passed out in the back.\u00a0\u201cIt appeared she had driven it over a curb, causing two tires to blow out,\u201d Knox County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Hillary Coward said. Morris\u00a0does not have any children enrolled in the school.<\/p>\n

Morris told officers that she had been at a bar in the early hours of the morning. Her home is less than one mile away from the school. \u00a0Morris failed a field sobriety test, and submitted to a blood test to determine her level of alleged intoxication. Those results will not be available for weeks. Talking to an attorney who handles criminal charges would be a good start.
