Natasha Gates, a Phoenix woman, is dead after a heroin overdose. The 27-year-old victim wanted to get “high” on Tuesday so 27-year-old John Franklin injected her with heroin. Franklin realized that Gates had overdosed but failed to call for help. Gated died short after. Medical help was called Wednesday morning but it was too late.

Investigators found heroin, heroin paraphernalia, mushrooms and equipment used to grow mushrooms at the scene. Franklin was charged with negligent homicide and various other drug charges. Franklin has the odds stacked pretty high against him, negligent homicide is a felony in Arizona and drug charges are felonies as well. So with multiple felonies against him it is advisable that he seek legal helpĀ if he wishes to get some sort of reasonable outcome from these charges.
